I had a short walk down a quaint, old neighbourhood where most people living here are mostly seniors. It was a lazy afternoon and maybe more so after a heavy downpour. There wasn’t much activity around the neighbourhood and one can pretty much tell from the pictures. I especially love first picture, how the old lady looking bored scrutinising the neighbourhood from her window. She caught me with my camera but didn’t twitch a bit. The old gentleman in the second picture was enjoying his papers but noticed my presence and turned my way as I pressed the shutter. This somewhat quiet…

So how does it feels like using a camera without :- – autofocus – metering – large OVF – LCD/EVF – batteries! *blindfold guy image from http://brandleadership.wordpress.com/2012/10/19/feeling-the-future-the-emotional-oracle-effect No joke. I loaded in a Fuji Superia 200 and it requires that i use everything i knew about photography on this beautiful vintage camera. Its kinda mind boggling when i first loaded up the films into it. I was like a child playing with a new toy, exploring the nooks and finishes of the camera. Some big questions like, does the…

I have began exploring film as a creative medium rather than just something to capture a moment while out and about. Seeing Rebecca Norris Webb and Ralph Eugene Meatyard work has opened up a whole other realm of photographic possibilities. All the shots are from the same roll of Kodak Ultramax 400. The last shot is the first time I have tried using film for long exposure work. I used an app as a lightmeter which thankfully worked out. I love how film creates  such unpredictable colours and effects.
